Library Visit

Year 2 visited our local library during our world book day. We browsed in the children’s library and enjoyed reading a story called ‘The Day the Crayon’s Quit. Back in the classroom, we re-read the story and based our learning on the text.

Mathematical Representations…

In maths, it is important that we are able to understand how to represent things in a variety of ways. Today we were reminding ourselves of Number Bonds to 10. We then represented the number bonds in a range of ways. For example, we used Tens Frames, Number Sentences, Numicon and Part-whole Model.

Room on the Broom…

As part of our work on enriching our pupil’s curriculum and bringing Literacy alive, our children were extremely keen to visit Room on the Broom by Julia Donaldson, in theatre. The show was so exciting and engaging!
