  • Lockdown Learners of the Week

    We have loved seeing all the amazing home learning you have been doing. Please do continue to share this with us so we can award Dojo points and  showcase it on our website!

    A great big thank you to all the parents that continue to support their children with home learning. We truly appreciate any effort that has been made to ensure your children continue with their education whilst schools are closed.

    Nursery

    In Nursery, Explorers Learners of the Week are Jaxson and Saphire! Jaxson for making great collections of objects starting with our sound of the week and Saphire for her interest in gardening and growing some superb vegetables.

     

    Reception

    In Reception, Explorers Learners of the Week are Zaara and Aggelos! Zaara has had a fantastic week full of learning. She has written some impressive responses to our Literacy. She has also patiently waited and watched the petunia seeds germinate and she has had great fun learning her numbers through action games. Aggelos has been working fantastically hard all week ad has produced some brilliant writing, maths and creative work. Have a look at the bus he made with his dad to help him with his addition and subtraction.

    Year 1

    In Year 1, Discoverers Learners of the Week are Nishy and Primrose! They have both been working really hard and have produced some fantastic work! Here is a few photos of things that have been up to:

    In Year 2, Discoverers Learners of the Week are Charlie and Joseph! Charlie and Joseph have both been working exceptionally hard this week producing some great work. Here is a few examples of what they have been up to:

    Year 3

    In Year 3, Adventurers Learners of the Week are Nyla and Jaden! Nyla created a fantastic road safety video with her sister and Jaden has been working super hard on his reading, writing, maths and art.

    Year 4

    In Year 4, Adventurers Learners of the Week are Seb and Khosi! Seb and Luke have been completing the daily art challenges in the style of different artists and working hard to complete their Purple Mash tasks. Seb also created a super video on road safety.

    Year 5

    In Year 5, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Rosie and Amelie! Well done to Rosie, you have been completing more work at home, and have been revising some fraction work which is brilliant. Keep up the hard work as it will all pay off! A well done goes to Amelie for continuing to complete all of her learning independently not only at home but at school too. Keep up the amazing work!

    Year 6

    In Year 6, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Lara and Finn! Well done to Lara for always trying your hardest and for your engagement on class dojo! Finn you have been doing a brilliant job working independently to complete your learning at home. It is always so wonderful to hear and see what brilliant work you are doing. Well done to both of you.

    In Nursery, Explorers Learners of the Week are Precious and Gabriella!
    Precious Oniasanmi for her continuous effort and for her amazing singing videos. Gabriella McPhail  for working so hard on her Handa’s Surprise activities.

    Reception

    In Reception, Explorers Learners of the Week are George and Noah!

    George has taken part in the Lockdown Life Skills Challenge this week. He enjoyed baking cakes called Duffins. They have chocolate inside them and look so delicious. They tasted yummy too! George has worked hard practising his writing skills and counting. He created a fantastic mask. Can you see its sparkly eyebrows? Noah has been working hard this week with his numbers, counting forward and backwards to 20. He persevered with this and should feel proud. Noah also enjoyed reading Handa’s Surprise and completing the activities. He loved naming the different fruits and sequencing the story. Well done Noah.

    Year 1

    In Year 5, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Shantira and Davi! I have been so impressed with the amount of work you have been doing Shantira, not only at school but at home too. I especially liked your song that you made about our current times. Davi you have always got a smile on your face and I know you have been trying hard with your Maths learning at home. Keep up the great work.

    Year 6

    In Year 6, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Nathalie and Thomas! Well done to both of you for doing an amazing job at home, and being super independent learners.     In Nursery, Explorers Learners of the Week are Owen and Anna Maria! Owen for his commitment every week to do the activities and Anna Maria for showing interest in her learning and using great language.

    Reception

    In Reception, Explorers Learners of the Week are Teddie and Thaio!

    Reception Explorers having made some fantastic inventions this week with their junk modelling skills. Here is Teddie’s Spider Catcher. Can you see that she used the stabilisers from her bicycle? Teddie learnt to ride without stabilisers at the weekend. She has also been working on becoming familiar with daily routines and time. Teddie is our Lockdown Learner of the Week this week.

    Thaio has been working really hard on learning about shapes and their properties. He has been practising his sounds too. He has loved making music using the BBC Play that Noise game. Thaio, you are our Lockdown Learner of the Week! Well done to both of you for all your super hard work!

    Year 1

    In Year 3, Adventurers Learners of the Week are Luke and Jaden! Luke has been working particularly hard on his comprehension skills this week with his Purple Mash tasks and Jaden has been working super hard on his writing.

    Year 4

    In Year 4, Adventurers Learners of the Week are Lucy and Ayah! Lucy has been applying her maths work to real life situations and practised measuring and Kenzie has written a fantastic poem. Both children have been working extremely hard and have been sending in all their work daily.

    Year 5

    In Year 5, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Rosa and Hanifa! Rosa has been doggedly determined with her Maths this week, and has admitted she finds it tough but has given it her best. Keep up the great work Rosa! Well done to Hanifa for being a brilliant independent learner this week! I am amazed at how much work you have been doing at home, and particularly liked your poem about dreams!

    Year 6

    In Year 6, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Archie and Chanelle! Archie has done a fantastic job at completing all of his purple mash activities, and we particularly enjoyed you reading the poem – Superheroes I could have been. Well done to Chanelle for all of her hard work, you have been really reflective in all of our dojo activities, and have been working hard at home. Keep the amazing work both of you.

    In Nursery, Explorers Learners of the Week are Saphire and Mack! Saphire  for her determination to join in all the activities and for having her own ideas about the book of the week. Mack for trying really hard to join in with the activities, finding shapes outdoors and posting his pictures for me to see.     In Reception, Explorers Learners of the Week are Aggelos and Zaara! They have been so motivated and hardworking. It has been great to see the work they have been busy doing each day.     In Year 1, Discoverers Learners of the Week are Billie-Grace and Elias! Billie-Grace has been working really hard on her writing each day, having some excellent ideas and writing them all down.  Elias has been working very hard alongside his brother at home. He has been using matchsticks to help him with his Maths work.

    Year 2

    In Year 2, Discoverers Learners of the Week are Rico and Sol! Rico has been consistently working hard over the week. He has been working really hard on writing writing about Orion and the Dark and has had some very in depth thoughts about the Dark and about space. Sol has teamed up with his brother Elias, in Year 1. They have been working hard together learning all about habitats and the animals that occupy them. Well done to both of you!

    Year 3

    In Year 3, Adventurers Learners of the Week are Yaqoob and Ahnaf! They have been working hard this completing all their home learning tasks. Well done to all of the Year 3 children who sent in some fantastic home learning this week, keep up the good work!

    Year 4

    In Year 4, Adventurers Learners of the Week are Lexi and Seb! Lexi has been working hard to improve her spellings and maths fluency and Seb has sent in some wonderful drawings from the Art tasks and is even learning Chinese!

    Year 5

    In Year 5, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Oskar and Jumana! You have both been working extremely hard at home with your home learning. Well done for being super independent learners. Jumana I loved watching your videos and your reading of the Poem Superheros was brilliant. Oskar I am so pleased to see that you are reading our book Journey to the River sea.

    In Year 6, Pioneers Learners of the Week are Bibi and Niyaz! Both of you have been putting in so much effort at home. Keep up the amazing work! Bibi your lockdown video was particularly impressive. Niyaz you have shown dedication and commitment to your learning.

  • Lockdown Learners of the Week

    Our new online Home Learning Journey has begun!

    Explorers, Discoverers, Adventurers and Pioneers have been led by Harry (our mascot) on our interactive online platform called Class Dojo.

    Nursery

    Explorers Learners of the Week in Nursery class are Afnan and Jaxson! Afnan Bajahow for her super box making skills and her beautiful artwork. Jaxson Knight for his amazing counting activities and for growing those fabulous plants.

    Reception

    Explorers Learners of the Week in Reception class are Umar and Jemima! Umar has been focused on the Home Learning all week. His fox puppet is fantastic helping him to see where Rosie is.  Jemima has been working super hard too, particularly on her reading. Great job Umar and Jemima!

    Year 1

    In Year 1, Discoverers Learners of the Week are Olivia and Primrose who have been doing some fantastic learning! Great work girls!I was really impressed by all the effort the children have been making at home. I was particularly impressed this week with all the fantastic learning Olivia and Primrose have been doing. Great work girls!

    Year 2

    In Year 2, Discoverer’s Lockdown Learners of the week are Zaynab and Joseph! Well done to you both! I  have had tons of work sent through and I am really impressed with the dedication from all of you at home.

    Year 3

    This week’s Adventurer Lockdown Learners of the week are Jaden and Iulia! Keep up the fantastic work! It has been wonderful to see other examples of great home learning from Year 3:

    This week’s Adventurer Lockdown Learners of the week are Theaya and Luke! Theaya and Luke have been sharing some superb home learning on Purple Mash and Class Dojo this week. We have been super impressed with all the home learning that Year 4 have been doing and here are some of the lovely things we have received:

    This week our Pioneer Lockdown Learners of the week are Ashira and Junior! Well done to both of you for doing so much home learning and sharing all of your work on Class Dojo! I can see that you have both been working hard and completing your school work every day.

    Year 6

    This weeks Pioneer Lockdown Learner’s of the week are Angelo and Monsur Ali. You both completed super drawings of the Scarab beetle and we have enjoyed seeing what you are getting up to at home. Keep up the great work.

     

     

  • Lockdown Learners of the Week

    A great big thank you to all the parents that have supported their children with home learning. Just like in our celebration assemblies, we felt it would be appropriate to celebrate some of the children who have been working hard this week.

    In Year 1, I was really impressed this week by Eloise’s amazing story she has written about the space rocket she has made. Here is her amazing work:

    In Year 2/3, our lockdown learners of the week are Samuel and Jaden! They have been working hard at home completing the learning packs and completing their tasks set on Purple Mash.
