Our Class Teacher is Sam Fallas-Smith and our Learning Support Assistant is Jo Stanley.

  • Thank You NHS

The children at London Colney Primary school have been showing their love and thanks to the NHS staff that are working hard around the country fighting against COVID19.

Take a look at some of the lovely letters Year 5 have written to say thank you to all of the staff at Watford General Hospital.

Have a read of this fantastic poem written by Bibi (Year 6).

  • NSPCC Number Day – Outdoor Learning

For the NSPCC number day, Dolphin class went outside on the field in search of objects to measure. Our current topic in maths is measurement and to help us practice our measuring skills and language we went in search of a range of sizes of twigs and sticks.

The children got really stuck in and we found tons of sticks all ranging in size. They then ordered them to shortest to longest.

  • Circus Workshop

This week, Year 1, 2 and 3 got the opportunity to experience a taster of being in the circus. We learnt new skills involving juggling, hula hooping and plate spinning.

  • The Snail and the Whale

Inspired by our school trip to go and see The Snail and the Whale in the theatre, we are focusing our literacy learning around Julia Donaldson’s fantastic book this half term. We have been spending some time describing the characters in the story and to help us with this we decided to mould our very own snails out of clay, here is some of our creations!

  • Making our Autumn Leaf Light Catchers

We all had a fantastic time showing our parents around our class, we shared all of our amazing work. It was really great to see all the effort each class made for their items to sell. Here are a few photos of how ours were made, the children all showed great determination.

  • Creating our own Egg Box Dragon.

In Dolphins class we have been really busy developing our writing skills. We have been reading a book called The Egg Box Dragon , and we thought as a class we would like to create our own Dragons.
