Volcano Cross-Section

This half term, we learnt about the cross-section of a composite volcano. We found out that there are lots of different parts of a volcano such as the magma chamber which is a pool of magma beneath the volcano. Another part of a volcano, is the ash cloud this occurs when there is a volcano eruption. An ash cloud forms above the volcano from the force of the volcano explosion. This can drift in the sky and fall back to earth.

We created our own representation of a volcanic cross-section with our learning partners. We used different media to create the volcano and then labelled the different parts of volcano using our learning from the lesson.
