Year 2 and 3 have been learning all about plants. We have looked at seeds, bulbs, seed dispersal and what plant needs to grow. The children enjoyed tasting lots of different types of seeds!
At the end of their unit, we set up a simple experiment to see what conditions plants needed to grow. We planted some cress seeds and decided what variable we would test (water, light, temperature and soil). We made predictions on what we thought would happen and checked out cress seeds one week later to see what had happened. These were our results:

The children have taken home their cress plants and have been challenged to see how long they can keep them alive for!
