This week has seen our whole school taking part in a ‘Welly Well-being Week’ whereby our pupils have had the opportunity to complete a range of activities with a focus on being outdoors to help support and promote a healthy mind and body. There was a buzz throughout the school all week and very little time was spent in the indoor classroom as our children usually experience. A huge range of activities were completed by each class and the children developed skills such as team work, communication, resilience and kindness.
Year 2 had a really fun week and took part in the following activities:
- creating outdoor clay faces
- fire building
- making bug hotels
- making fruit salads
- team building games
- making bird feeders
- creating kindness key-rings
Below you can see some of the things we got up to this week …
