As part of our Winter topic, we have been exploring the difference between hot and cold. We made hot chocolate and made ice cream.
We discovered how cold ice really is and held the ice in our hand, until we made the ice melt with our warm breath. Next, we experimented placing ice and salt in a large zip lock bag and vanilla essence, whole milk, sugar into a smaller bag. We placed the smaller bag mixture in the larger bag, once we sealed the bag; we shook the bags really fast. After a few minutes, we noticed the ingredients were changing. We continued for a little while longer and tasted our ice cream.
It was “really yummy, it’s not polar bear cold and it taste like ice cream I have at home.”
