Last term, Year 2 and 3 learnt about all about the rainforests. We coloured rainforest animals, made long paper chain vines, tissue paper flowers and a variety of tropical leaves for our display.
We learnt about where rainforests are in the world, what the different layers of the forest are, what the climate is like and how it is affected by water cycle and the tribes that live in the rainforest. We then looked at deforestation, the devastating effects it can have on the world and how we can protect our rainforests.
I was super impressed with the 3D models of the rainforest that the children created for their homework.
