Our Nursery

We are pleased to be able to offer a Nursery provision for 3-4 year olds.

At London Colney, we firmly believe in children being able to lay the foundations of life-long learning from a young age and strive to ensure that even our youngest children receive the highest quality education. With highly skilled practitioners, outstanding environments, a well-resourced Early Years setting and a purpose built outdoor area, our Nursery provision is able to support the learning of up to 60 pupils across a day. We are able to offer flexibility with the 15 hours that children are entitled to and have our own lunch club, should parents need their child to stay for lunch. Within our setting, we also accept children of parents who are in receipt of the 30 hour funding. To find more information regarding the 30 hour funding, please look at the following website:

Nursery Hours

  • 8.45am – 11.45am – Morning Nursery
  • 11.45am – 1.15pm – Lunch Club if required
  • 12.15pm – 3.15pm – Afternoon Nursery

Lunch Club

Our Nursery lunch club runs from 11.45am – 1.15pm. There is a charge of £5.00 per child per day for the use of our lunch club facility and this includes a freshly prepared meal.

We strongly encourage visits so if you feel that London Colney could be the Nursery for you, please feel free to make an appointment to come and have a look!

Admissions

We currently offer Nursery places for children aged 3-4 years. Children may begin Nursery the term  after their third birthday.

In order for your child to begin Nursery, please complete and return a copy of our Enrolment Form, along with a copy of your child’s birth certificate, to the school office.

On being allocated a place, you will receive a welcome pack with key information and a home visit will be arranged with a member of the Early Years team.
